Aegir's Hall has a fighter practice on Friday. Scarab is down in So Cal though, donno if Dro will come out. If you were thinking of coming out to Lodi, I could call him and see if he was comen out.

Aggressive closing with your opponent (do not stay at range, you lose), work on blocking a lot. Be prepared to die a lot otherwise just have fun

Hey everybody
So in regards to daggers, iv thought about going into pole arming a lot and have been having fun with it
. A couple times I've been in close, and realized a dagger could really help. Is this a really practical idea or am I just
Thinging in the wrong area. And if where a good placement for one? Rear belt or front belt?

Most pole fighters carry a dagger on them...some use something to attach to their wrist but most put it in the front because it is your last defense to getting rushed.

I would attach a dagger to your belt at the small of your back. If you have to ditch the pole arm, you just reach behind you and proceed to stab.

The small of the back idea i thought to, but he makes a good point
For the front. Its quicker to grab, kinda like those take chest holsters.
Or knife chest holsters to be perice

I would recommend using a lanyard on the wrist. Let it hang free while pole fighting, then when needed, drop your hand and it falls right in place. This was a common way in the SCA of carrying a small mace or dagger when fighting pole.
