Here's the general schematic of what's going to happen during Open House. Please read the following:
Publicity for Open House must comply with University policies. Unauthorized publicity must be removed from the school premises by 12:00 am on Wednesday, April 17th. Sandwich boards will not be permitted during Open House weekend without prior consent. Unapproved advertising will be picked up Thursday, April 18th
Friday, April 19th:
4:30-6 pm Check in at Dexter Lawn. There will be NO Saturday check-in. We will receive our Permit to Operate and a 20 minute unloading pass to drop off our booth.
5 pm (once the booths have been chalked out) we can set up our booth. We are highly recommended to set up on Friday evening before 7 pm
The Permit to Operate MUST be displayed on our booth
Saturday, April 20th:
8:00 am Vehicles must be removed from inner campus by this time and will not be allowed on campus after this time
8:30 am Booths must be completed set up and staffed by this time. As the club representative to the Open House Committee, I am required to be at our booth from now until closing time.
Booths will be checked by the Open House Committee, University Police, and campus health inspectors to make sure we follow the rules of Open House
10:30 am Booth operation begins after the Opening Ceremonies conclude, which is about at this time. No starting earlier as there are speakers and a flag salute taking place on Dexter Lawn
No wandering vendors or advertising except within the premises of our 10 x 10 foot lot
5:00 pm Once University Police and the Open House Club Relations Director approves, we can start taking down our booth and vehicles may reenter campus
Booths must be cleared before noon on Sunday April 21st. Failure to remove items (booth, supplies, etc.) will results in loss of those items.
On the fun side, we could win prizes if our booth looks awesome.
There will be two meetings (April 4th and April 11th) prior to Open House which I will be going to to finalize details.
