That's a HUGE file. 212.5 mb. You've been warned.

ZZZzzzzzzzzz.....

Snerk! wha? Oh.

The resolution isn't good enough to read anyone's names.

No squad leader unlocks? No vehicles? Weird.

And I don't think I saw anyone that wasn't an assault: L-AR/rocket/revive... well there was the one flag defense with RDX. No support at all, no claymores... Isn't that veird?

ya, its 5v5 pro mod

they only one who is not assault is the commander. cuz if you die, you will lose a ticket, but if you get revied, you don't.

I know all about tickets. I maxed my rank a while back. "Go teach your grandmother to suck eggs" and all that.

And you know you can pick up a dead person's kit, right? 'g' by default. Same with your own deployables (including spawn beacons, turrets, force walls, etc, etc). I haven't tried grabbing my own sensor or gun drone... I'll have to give that a whirl as soon as I get my computer fixed and can start actually playing BF2142 again. I just got a shiny new computer and getting BF moved over is turning out to be "problematic".

I don't see how removing tactical options makes anything "pro". Just narrow

Bah! Bah I say! And bah again!

Okay, I read the mod's description. That sounds quite reasonable.

It's just the teams that all go assault/L-AR/etc/etc... not the mod. It's my favorite kit, don't get me wrong, particularly with the 4-rounds/4-reloads rifle rocket squad unlock from Northern Strike. It always bugged me that it took 2 rockets to kill a healthy person but the clip held 3. Waste of a perfectly good rocket. So along comes the 4/4 unlock and makes me a Very Happy Camper. And everyone else very dead.

Until ya run out of ammo, which is where a SUPPORT class player might come in handy.

Fooey. Kids these days, why when I was your age, we had wolfenstein 3-d, and WE LIKED IT!

Well if you want to get picky, I started off with the original Apple ][ version, "Castle Wolfenstein"... it played kinda like the OLD arcade game "Berzerk", only with an inventory, ammo, and so forth. All in stunning 8-color graphics.

Ya know, it's amazing how some of the ideas in those old games (good ones) haven't made the transition into more modern ones. The Wizards Crown, an Apple ][ RPG gave everyone a 'zone of control', much like old Civ games. And someone with a spear could reach past friendlies to whack at the bad guys. Woah... tactics!

Up hill! Both ways!!!

Rogue. Star war... the two little ships with a gravity well in the middle trying to shoot each other? The precursor to "Asteroids".

Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy (Infocom). Mail Order Monsters. Bard's Tale. Serpentine. Lode Runner. Bolo. Stellar 7 (no wait, that was on the Amiga). Road Wars? All those cheesy type-them-in-yourself games in basic. Summer Olympics. Pirates! (The original, no that new-fangled one).

Ah, the 8-bit days.

Thank you for that, Tremere. Made my frickin' day. Even if you are named for the most backstabbing House of the Order of Hermes (or, worse, the most twinked Vampire Clan EVAR).

There there, you're not old. Not so long as *I* still play. Besides, I remember when the first handheld calculators became available. I learned Basic Programming on TRS 80. I have specific memories of Watergate and Vietnam. Also, there are mountains younger than me. And dirt.

So, no, you're young. And you always will be.

old games

Postby SirEuric » Thu Jun 21, 2007 9:53 am

Heck Yeah! Our ADVANCED computer Math class was on T I 99 4A's and we had 3 of them for 38 kids.

Some of my favorites were: The Phantasie series(mainly because I thought it was cool to have Minotaurs,Ogres and Trolls in your party), The bards tale series, and the coolest sports games of all time Summer Games I and II, Winter games, California games, and World Games. All on the venerable Commodore 64. Heck yeah, who can argue with weightlifting, bronc busting and CABER TOSS all in one game. I also really loved mail order monsters.

Dude. The first president I remember was Carter. You've got me beat, but not by all that much. 8 years, give or take.

I must admit it distresses me a bit every time I run into a player that was born after I started Amtgard.

I'll trade ya. You can borrow the oxygen mask if I can have some of that prune juice. :\
